Warwick Pearmund leads the Technology practice in the Asia-Pacific region for Pure Search, a London headquartered global recruitment firm. He specialises in recruiting top talent across the core disciplines of financial technology, quantitative and systematic finance, payments, digital strategy, insurtech, data science, analytics, AI and machine learning, robotics, blockchain and cyber security.
Before his recruitment career, Warwick was an equities trader and a sales trader in the UK and Asia. Having worked across the APAC region both client side and in recruitment, he has built an network spanning banks, insurers, global consulting firms and technology companies. Warwick’s geographic coverage is, predominantly, Hong Kong and China although he does also take on global mandates for very senior positions.
Outside of his day job, Warwick volunteers in the non-profit sector where he is Vice-President of the Hong Kong Branch of the Royal Society of St. George and Co-Chair of the talent and diversity committee for the Fintech Association of Hong Kong.
Warwick Pearmund has lived in Asia since 2006, when he was transferred to Tokyo with Jefferies investment bank, moving to Hong Kong, with his family, in 2011, a city that he now calls home.
